Since Asus' software is not as crap as ZyXEL's, the MAC filter is back. However he swapped the router to an RT-AC51U. It was awesome for me, because the AC66U_B1 I bought worked practically OOTB, after setting it up in repeater mode. Previously we had a ZyXEL Armor Z1, which had a bug - the MAC filter did not work on the 5GHz interface. My landlord is paranoid AF, and has a MAC filter set up on the wifi router. I understand this is a quite weird setup, and that there's probably no helping me on this one, but it's worth a shot.
